SGT. JUNE TO 'RETIRE' FROM BILL (27/9/04)

June, played by Trudie Goodwin, will say she is ready to quit Sun Hill in November.
Trudie, 52, is to take six weeks off to do charity work. But producers of the ITV1 show say June WILL return.
A spokeswoman for The Bill said: “June will announce she is ready to retire from Sun Hill and gets a proper send-off. But she will return after a few months when circumstances force her back to work.”
June will be working with the Christian Blind Mission in Nigeria.
She is also planning a fund-raising walk through Pattagonia.
