From The Sun.
Beth, 26, broke the news last
week as they were still reeling at losing Aussie hunk Daniel. But she has been promised a
sensational exit after nearly two years as WPC Kerry
Young. An insider said: “Beth’s
loved her time on the show and is on a high. “But she thought it was time to
move on — she wants to do some theatre, try film and do more TV. “And she’s thrilled they have
given her such fantastic stuff to go out on.” Viewers will see Kerry try to
stop a suicide bomber detonating his device in the next few weeks. She is also in a date-rape plot,
suspecting Sgt. Dale Smith drugged and attacked her.
But her final storyline — to be filmed in the summer — will be a big secret. The ex-Neighbours star, 23, wants
to break into movies in Australia. He and Beth — whose characters
shared a saucy shower last month — recently reunited after a brief split. But the source insisted:
“Beth’s leaving has nothing to do with Dan’s decision to go. They are
still very much together but she is not planning to go to Australia. She wants
to work here.” Meanwhile, bosses are bringing
two old faces back to Sun Hill. Former Page 3 girl Linda Lusardi,
45, will return as Maggie
Lyons after bent cop boyfriend Don Beech — actor
Billy Murray, 57 — reappears.
BILL
babe Beth Cordingly has stunned bosses by quitting — just like her co-star
lover Daniel Macpherson.
Daniel’s
last scenes as PC Cameron Tait will go out in May.
