Bob is best known for his long-running role in Casualty as Dr. Max Gallagher. He has appeared in numerous theatre productions as well as the TV series' Soldier Soldier, MacGyver and Operation Julie.

Bob plays the recurring part of Hugh Wallis, a profiler who taught DS Samantha Nixon. He's brought in to assist with the investigation into the Sun Hill serial rapist. Hugh's sinister side is revealed several months later when he takes Nixon's daughter hostage in a tense game of power play.
