T/DC Will Fletcher   played by Gary Lucy

Will Fletcher grew up near Hemel Hempstead with his parents and sister. His dad was a mechanic and his mum worked as a nurse. As a boy he used to help his dad out at the garage and it was here that he grew to love everything to do with cars. His dad’s best mate worked for the police as a local area car driver and (being more than liberal with the truth) impressed Will with his stories of high speed chases. Will then decided that policing was the job for him.

After training, Will quickly settled in at his local nick, proving that he was a good cop, although not always using conventional methods. He was popular amongst his colleagues, especially with the ladies, and managed to stay on the right side of his Super. Once or twice he was called before him, but Will’s natural charm and the clear backing of the relief meant that he received a mere rap on the knuckles. A failed relationship behind him made Will even more determined to prove his worth and pursue his dream of joining the Met. He applied and was ecstatic when he learnt of his transfer to Sun Hill.

Despite a disastrous first day at the nick, Will didn't take long to fit in and enjoy his new posting. He may be a bit of a maverick but he’s an effective police officer and enjoys nicking the criminals. He quickly came to the attention of DI Manson, who seconded him to CID as a Trainee DC.
