DON'T SHOOT! (18/12/04)

WHEN crime boss Irene Radford (Lynda Bellingham) shows up on Gina Gold’s beat again, the inspector knows it’s trouble.

But she has no idea it will result in her being taken hostage at gunpoint!

Sun Hill get a tip-off that Irene is involved in a drug run, but Gina smells a rat.

She believes this is a smokescreen to cover a plan to spring David from prison.

"When Gina realises what Irene’s up to, she decides to take matters into her own hands," says Roberta Taylor, who plays the officer.

The police dash to stop the jailbreak, but a desperate Irene turns a gun on Gina.

She shoves her into a car and speeds off toward an airstrip where a plane is waiting to take her to Spain.

En route, the women talk and realise they have things in common.

Armed cops arrive as Irene is about to board the jet but having bonded with her, Gina orders them not to fire.

Suddenly, vengeful Rob speeds up and aims a gun at Irene.

"Gina realises that this could be the end of the road for Irene," says Roberta.

"But will she persuade her officers not to shoot?"
