Johannsen starts pounding the beat in Sun Hill.She's set to cause plenty of friction as she uses her feminine charms to twist the stations hapless bobbies around her little finger.
On her first day she wastes no time sinking her claws into PC Steve Hunter. Myfanwy Waring, who plays Amber, says that the character is a real minx, and great fun to play. "Amber uses her flirting in a sly way. She's a heart breaker and I can't wait to see who her next victim will be!"
Amber's a bit of an unlikely police woman, in fact with her shopping addiction and flirtatious manner, she'd probably be more at home on Sex and The City.
"It's not at all what she wanted to be at all. She had a fling with a policeman which was what inspired her. It was a chance to work with lots of fit men!" laughs Myfanwy.
"She's quite a manipulative person, and likes to abuse her place in society." But Amber's scheming is only likely to get her so far, particularly as her charms aren't likely to work on Sgt. June Ackland.
"My character thinks that she's a boring old cow. I want to be out busting bank robbers, while she thinks I'm a jumped-up-know-it -all. It's good to have these tense scenes with someone who you can have a laugh with afterwards."
So, has Amber's bitchy persona started to rub off on Myfanwy?
"Oh no," she laughs. "I've always been a bossy cow!"
