FAREWELL, JUNE! (22/04/07)

23 years after first walking the beat of Sun Hill in ITV1 drama series The Bill, Sergeant June Ackland – played by Trudie Goodwin – is handing in her warrant card and retiring from the Met Police force.

Trudie’s last episode aired on Thursday 8th March 2007 at 8pm.

1995    June’s flat is firebombed when she becomes the target of an assassin.
1997    June is arrested for handling stolen money
2002    A bogus Sergeant Ackland is on the loose in Sun Hill.
2002    June is captured by a gang and handcuffed. Jim Carver goes to her aid and later, back at Sun Hill, they share their first kiss
2003    June has a one night stand with PC Tony Stamp.
2004    June and PC Gabriel Kent kiss.
2004    June meets the son she gave up for adoption but doesn’t reveal who she is.
2004    Jim proposes to June.
2004    June and Jim’s wedding.
2004    June retires (for the first time) but her retirement is short-lived when she has to return to work to pay off Jim’s gambling debts.
2005    June and PC Roger Valentine kiss.
2005    June is reconciled with her real son.
2005    June realises that she and Jim’s marriage is over and he leaves Sun Hill.
2006    June meets Rod Jessop - he asks her to marry him.
2007    Jim Carver returns to Sun Hill to try and win back June’s heart.
2007    June leaves Sun Hill.
