The
Bill actor TJ Ramini is reprising his Sun Hill role for a
special two-part episode of the ITV police drama.The 32-year-old played corrupt cop Zain Nadir for just under two years and left his shamed character behind in February after being arrested on screen following the fatal shooting of colleague PC Honey Harman (Kim Tiddy).
After becoming involved with drugs baron Kristen Shaw (Christine Stephen-Daly), Zain is spending 10 years behind bars for perverting the course of justice.
Meanwhile, former colleague DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) stumbles across him behind bars while investigating another drugs case.
With the weight of the investigation on his shoulders, Jack is forced to decide whether he can trust Zain to provide inside information.
Of Ramini's return, Executive Producer Jonathan Young said: "Zain has changed since being imprisoned. He's had to in order to survive, but Jack manages to tap into his inner conscience and we start to see a bit of the old Zain coming back."
