NEWS ROUND UP (09/10/06)

Firstly, apologies about the lack of updates to the site over the past few months. I've been very busy of late with work and other things, and this, combined with my waning interest in the show, has resulted in my poor motivation to update and refresh the site.

I think it would be a shame to ditch it entirely (although the thought has crossed my mind several times) - particularly now that the official site has completely obliterated any reference to the show's history...so if anyone can send me any news stories or updates to character profiles, I'd be grateful. I'll try and make the updates as and when I can.

::: Zain's Off

It's been confirmed that Zain is to leave the show in a 'gripping' winter storyline.

DC Nadir (TJ Ramini) is trying to bust drug baron Kristen Shaw (Christine Stephen Daly).

But there is a twist that sees Zain's exit. Christine, 32, will leave the show at the same time.

::: Yvonne's Off

After three years at Sun Hill nick, PC Yvonne Hemmingway bows out at the end of the month. She concludes she’ll never make Sergeant at Sun Hill and vows to move stations. We're still still awaiting news on Sgt. June Ackland and PC Honey Harman's exits.

::: In other news...

Promotion is on the cards for DS Sam Nixon; Gillian Taylforth will make her debut as Sgt. Nikki Wright in the next couple of weeks; and PC Tony Stamp will shortly be getting a girlfriend!
