NEWS ROUND-UP (26/4/05)
A round-up of all things Bill related...
::: GARY LUCY TO JOIN THE BILL
Former
Footballers' Wives hunk Gary Lucy is in talks to join The Bill.
Gary, 23, who played Kyle Pascoe,
tried his luck in Hollywood after quitting the racy drama last April to pursue
more serious roles. Now he has been offered a chance to star as a copper in the
ITV1 drama.
::: THE STALKER STORYLINE
Detective
Constable Terry Perkins is left fighting for his
life as The Bill's stalker storyline takes a bloody turn.
Terry, played by Bruce Byron, 45, is stabbed when he finds Sun Hill stalker Margaret Barnes (Annabelle Apison, 40) trying to slit her wrists.
DS Ramani De Costa (Thusitha Jayasundera, 33) finds Terry in a pool of blood in the ITV1 shocker, to be screened next month.
::: AN ADDITION TO THE HUNTER CLAN
EastEnders
legend Anita Dobson is returning to TV as a fiery Cockney — this time in The
Bill.
Chiefs are thrilled the actress — famous as Dirty Den’s gin-swilling missus
Angie Watts — agreed to join the ITV1 cop series as Phil
& Steve Hunter's mum Lynne.
She will appear in 2 episodes next month. Dobson previously had a guest spot on the show in 1997.
