The
Bill is heading out to Romania at the end of June to film a two-part
special.
The trek out to Bucharest will see DS Sam Nixon
(Lisa Maxwell) and DS Phil Hunter (Scott Maslen)
investigating an influx of human trafficking.
A spokesperson for the show said: "We’re extremely excited about
taking The Bill to Romania to shoot a two-part special.
"The episodes will be following DS Sam Nixon and DS Phil Hunter on an
undercover mission to expose a human trafficking operation and will be
crammed with action and stunts.
"It’s a fantastic opportunity for all involved and we’re
particularly looking forward to collaborating with a Romanian film crew
and filming out on the streets of Bucharest."
This is the third time the show has been overseas to film special
episodes, traveling to France in 1999 for a murder investigation in the
episode 'Foreign Body' and, more recently, Australia, for the 'Beech on
the Run' episodes, starring Billy Murray in 2001.
