FORMER The Bill star Seema Bowri used to entertain her husband by wearing her Met. police uniform.

The actress, who is happily married to husband Vinni, can’t believe how sexy men found her character Leela Kapoor's uniform.

She said: “Of course you get all your male mates wanting you to try it on and my husband was really into it at first.

“But I’m not missing the Met. Police uniform. It is the most unattractive uniform you’ll ever wear. It’s baggy, the shirts are too big. It’s just so practical."

However, she admits it did give her a power buzz.

“When you’re actually wearing it you feel very unsexy – even though it can make you feel very in charge.”

Seema has just finished a three-year stint on The Bill, but admits she’s already thinking of returning to the hit police drama.

“They very kindly left the door open by promoting my character Leela. They could have killed her off so I’m hugely flattered that they kept the door open. I could be back.”

Seema is currently starring in Lisa’s Sex Strike at the Greenwich Theatre, while The Bill is screened on ITV1, every Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm.
