familiar faces return to The Bill next month when DCI
Jack Meadows catches up with some former colleagues at the funeral of ex-Sun
Hill cop, Ted Roach.The off screen hit-and-run death of Ted - who was played by Tony Scannell from 1984-1993 - leads Jack to team up with retired cops Alec Peters and Bob Cryer on a mission to solve the mystery of the Irishman's demise.
Returning to their one time regular roles are original cast members Larry Dann (Alec) and Eric Richard (Bob), who quit the series in 1992 and 2001 respectively.
As if that wasn't enough, the dramatic episode ends in a twist that promises to shock the viewers.
Is Ted's send-off the only Sun Hill funeral we'll witness in the coming months?
