The
deadly Sun Hill sniper has been hiding in the shadows for months, but at last
the assassin's identity is revealed. And it's NOT Gabriel.Viewers have suspected for a while that he is the gunman, but in this exciting three episode special of The Bill, the sniper tries to make Gabriel his 6th victim. Then he and Gabriel clash in a dramatic balcony fight.
"Everyone is desperate to get this guy, especially Gabriel." says Todd Carty who plays the PC.
As the week begins, Gabriel locks horns with his colleague Smithy. He's outraged that Smithy told MIT that he raped Kerry. Smithy presses him to admit he did it, but Gabriel can't face up to his past.
"The revelation that Kerry was pregnant with his child has affected him deeply," says Todd.
As Gabriel storms off, he comes across a suicidal man. He has a gun to his head, but Gabriel manages to convince him not to kill himself.
But, as they head back to Sun Hill to talk things through, a shot rings out and both men tumble to the ground. Lying in a pool of blood, Gabriel's shocked to find that the man he's just saved is lying dead on top of him.
Everyone's feeling jittery at Sun Hill, and SO19 are swarming all over the place.
"Gabriel then receives a DVD of an early meeting between himself and the sniper." says Todd. "It's a warning, reminding Gabriel that if the sniper goes down, so will he."
As the net closes in, Gabriel dashes to the gunman's flat and ends up in a dramatic struggle with him on the edge of the balcony.
Steve looks on helplessly from below as Gabriel manages to get the better of the assassin, and leaves him dangling over the edge. But will he pull Gabriel over with him?
