FORTHCOMING SPOILERS (12/4/05)
From an official press release:
There’s
an exciting new season in store for viewers of The Bill in Spring -
Summer 2005.
Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) continues to
struggle in silence with her cancer treatment. Although, with a growing number
of concerned friends in-the-know, surely her secret can’t remain under wraps
for long?
Returning to her side, ex-love Jonathon Fox
(Larry Lamb) offers support, but will it be of the romantic variety? It’ll be
a long road for Gina to wait and see if the treatment has worked. The question
on everyone’s lips is whether the end is nigh for the station’s stalwart
inspector?
Gina
is not alone in her terror. Recently bereaved Supt Adam
Okaro (Cyril Nri) struggles to keep it together after losing his entire
family. A friend offers him drugs to help him through his anguish. Will he
endanger his career in a moment of madness?
Life takes a surprise turn for DC Terry Perkins (Bruce
Byron). With his brother’s paedophilia trial approaching, he finds comfort in
the most unsuitable of places. Is Terry asking for trouble or could this be love
at last?
Reformed
rapist and murderer PC Gabriel Kent (Todd Carty) finds
that being good isn’t so easy after all. The arrival of a hated family member
could be enough to send the crazed copper over the edge once again.
Sgt June Ackland (Trudie Goodwin) bravely soldiers on
in her new life without Jim, with no idea of the horror that is about to befall
her. (rumour has it that it is a death in custody for which she has to stand
trial - Ed)
There’s dangerous temptation in store for Sgt Dale Smith
(Alex Walkinshaw). Falling head-over-heels for a big-time gangster’s wife is
not in the Sergeant’s Handbook. But will the ever-unlucky-in-love sergeant
learn from fallen Kerry Young’s mistakes, or
make a whole new set for himself?
::: THE BILL UNCOVERED
There is to be another Bill
spin off on ITV3 before the end of April. Unlike the other The Bill Uncovered
programmes, which focused on individuals - Des & Reg,
Kerry and Jim - and were
therefore character driven, this is an action packed programme, showing the
situations Sun Hill officers find themselves in policing "the front line".
Narrated by Supt. Adam Okaro - who had a gun pointed at
him even before he reported for duty - this programme includes some of the very
best action sequences involving Sun Hill Officers - both past and present. Expect
appearances from Brownlow, Conway,
Santini, Quinnan, Garfield,
Blake, Gilmore, Page,
Rickman and many others. Episodes featured include:
"Instant Response", "Humpty Dumpty" Part 1,
"Quits", "Badlands", "Live and Ticking"......
Tune in to ITV3 on Wednesday 27th April @ 9pm.
