TELLY’S The Bill is to boot out three of its biggest stars.

Pal Aron, who plays DC Brandon Kane, and René Zagger (PC Nick Klein) have told bosses they are ready to go.

And Connie Hyde, who plays WPC Cathy Bradford, is being written out.

An insider on the ITV1 show said: “The Bill’s bosses have been warned by ITV they must boost the ratings and are clearing out characters that they think have become dead wood.

“They want to make way for some other new sexy characters.”

Bosses refused to say whether their star’s characters will be killed off.

...so in actual fact, Aron and Zagger left of their own accord and didn't get 'the boot', and Hyde's storyline as crazy Cathy had to come to an end sooner or later. Typical tabloid hyperbole! - Ed
