DC Kezia Walker played by Cat Simmons

Kezia shot from the hip (so to speak); she was streetwise and determined to catch the crooks and right wrongs along the way. Always a bit of a champion for the under-dog, being one herself, Kezia was a smart young working-class woman with a bright future. She’d definitely found her vocation in the police force - she loved every aspect of the job, apart from the paperwork; but who enjoys that? She got a real buzz out of nicking people and she was good at it – one of the police’s natural thief takers.

A real team player, Kezia instantly responded to being a part of the biggest gang in town and was a popular member of uniform. Always ready to get stuck in when things got physical, she was well respected and managed to be one of the lads without alienating her female colleagues. 

Kezia proved herself as a uniform officer countless times, receiving commendations for bravery. However, she decided to join CID after becoming increasingly frustrated with passing cases on and not seeing the results she expected at the end of it. It was a tough decision to leave uniform but Kezia was determined to be the best detective she could and not to forget her uniform roots. She left Sun Hill after Heaton asked her to join his specialist unit targeting human trafficking.
