of The Bill are preparing for the end of an era on February 24 when Mark
Wingett leaves the show.The 44-year-old actor, better known as DC Jim Carver, has been in the series since day one and his final episode promises to be one of the best yet.
"There's a bit of a fight coming up. A bit of a rumble. It was quite fun to do actually. It's nice to go out on your last day fighting," he laughs.
When Sergeant June Ackland (Trudie Goodwin) is spotted kissing Roger Valentine (John Bowler), there's no prizes for guessing that the green-eyed monster gets his grip on Carver.
Wingett is sorry to leave The Bill but has more than a few happy memories of life at Sun Hill.
"There's been so many great moments on the show but my favourite memory has just being been with my chums really and the people that work there."
The final episode is a post watershed instalment and promises to be more intense than usual.
